| Mechanical Manager |
The Mechanical Manager will be a supportive and inspiring people manager, capable of building strong teams and coaching to build performance. He will ensure the completion of duties to the highest level of safety, quality and effectives at minimum cost to maximize equipment availability.
Responsibilities include:
- Applying preventative and predictive maintenance practices and contribute to plant improvements
- Ensuring sustainable performance which is aligned to plant objectives,values and behaviours
- Defining the medium and long term strategy for plant maintenance
- Developing,monitoring and implementating an action plan for the maintenance of equipments
- Planing the periodic maintenance in collaboration with the Production Manager
- Adhere to daily and weekly controls to ensure smooth operation of site, control the correct use of the equipment/ machinery according to the manual / guide / technical specifications
- Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out and lead the team to deliver effectively
- Input and hold responsibility for maintenance annual budgets
- Monitoring and reporting the monthly energy consumption of the plant
- Development and oversight of investment / equipment investment plan
- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken. Immediate repair of defects
- Ordering and monitoring of the use of new equipment / machineries / spare parts
- Demand-development of machine operation to increase efficiency in their work
- Keeps and updates the department technical library with catalogues, manuals, standards etc.
- Ensure a proper implementation of Health & Safety Company Policies and Procedure
Skills and knowledge required:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience as Maintenance Manager or similar position
- Fluency of English language; Knowledge of another language will be considered an asset
- Experience of Financial management and budget control
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
