Reservation Manager

We are seeking for an experienced Reservation Manager to join our team. As a Reservation Manager, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operations in the department through prompt, effective and proper reservations service to achieve maximum room revenue in order to meet or exceed the revenue target.

Responsibilities:

  • Having knowledge of entire reservation procedures according to company manual system;
  • Maximize occupancy levels by reviewing and revising revenue strategies;
  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems;
  • Making decisions regarding reservations, cancellations and refunds;
  • Allocate daily tasks to reservation staff;
  • Review reservation booked daily & arrival report daily;
  • Responsible for preparation of occupancy forecast;
  • Assist in the recruiting, managing, training and developing of the team;
  • Handling guests’ complaints;
  • Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures;
  • Manage telephone, email enquiries and social media channels in a prompt and professional manner and in accordance with company standards ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times;
  • Understanding of travel agents commission schemes;
  • Liaise with Sales Department in regards to occupancy, Rates Reservation’s Analysis;
  • Monitoring Telephone Manner and general performance of reservations staff daily;
  • Ensure special handling of repeats guest and very VIP guest;
  • Monitors and coordinates group reservations activity with the Sales Department;
  • Reviews no-show and cancelled reservations and processes charges according to hotel’s policy;
  • Bring to the attention Front Office Manager when the hotel availability status be changed and prepare for necessary action;
  • Responsible for work schedule;

Requirements (Key Skills)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in resorts and hotels as Assistant Reservations Manager;
  • MA in business administration or similar relevant field;
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective long-term relationships;
  • Excellent understanding of yield and diary management;
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations;
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;
  • Fluency in English language, other languages are considered a plus;
