Art and Tourism Development Group is looking for a:

Purchasing Manager 

We are seeking for a Purchasing Manager who will responsible for the purchase of goods and materials required by the hotel in adherence to policy and with cost reduction and profitability, as well as be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager with the purchasing of all goods and equipment required by the hotel;
  • Supervise the purchase of correct goods and materials at a competitive price and proper quantities/volumes
  • Assigned staff, including training, evaluating performance and scheduling work;
  • Monitor cashiering procedures and any related problems closely and in coordination with the finance department;
  • Work closely with housekeeping manager, front office manager & maintenance manager to ensure standards are adhered;
  • Oversee inventory and ordering supplies and linens for housekeeping department, front office department & maintenance department;
  • Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet daily business demands;
  • Perform daily room and property inspections;
  • Proficient in property management systems;
  • Be responsible for Life-Safety & Hygiene compliance;
  • Ensure the departments adhere to Bougainvile Bay Resort & SPA policies and procedures;
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned;

Requirements (Key Skills)

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent;
  • Senior leadership experience in Front Office/Housekeeping is preferred;
  • Experience of working with high volume occupancy levels;
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the team;
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Good financial awareness;
  • Demonstrated customer service skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;
  • Fluency in English language, other languages are considered a plus;
