Position: Quality Engineer (QA/QC)
Department: Reporting, Costs, and Quality Assurance
Location: Tirana
Job Summary: Quality (QA/QC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the company meets all legal requirements as well as those derived from quality procedures. They monitor the implementation of procedures with subcontractors, oversee the laboratory testing process for various material samples, and ensure that everything complies with the applicable standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the company meets all legal requirements and those derived from quality procedures;
- Develop and implement company procedures for continuous improvement;
- Monitor and audit each department to verify the implementation of company quality procedures;
- Follow up on the process carried out by site engineers for sampling and testing in accredited and DPSH-licensed laboratories. Ensure that test results, monitoring processes, and data records are properly documented;
- Prepare quality documentation for specific imported materials that cannot be analyzed in the company’s laboratories;
- Oversee the implementation of quality standards across different technological processes during project execution;
- Prepare mix designs for special concrete and mortar types;
- Draft inspection reports for materials and works with substandard quality;
- Complete all required quality documentation for the project/site;
- Monitor and ensure quality control of works for the project/site.
- Supervise work items to ensure quality standards are met in accordance with technical specifications.
- Assist teams or subcontractors in implementing information that contributes to process improvement and resolving quality-related issues;
- Conduct periodic training sessions for technical staff on quality-related topics.
Education: Hold a university degree in Civil Engineering; specific qualifications related to the position are considered an advantage.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in Civil Works (construction and finishing activities);
- Demonstrating certification in specific quality-related training courses;
- Excellent knowledge of quality standards;
- Strong command of the English language;
- Ability to work effectively in a team and provide solutions;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
