Job position: Information Security Senior Specialist
Department: Information Systems

Summary: The Information Security Senior Specialist is in charge of detecting, investigating, and defending against information security incidents targeting the company’s system and data.
Main Responsibilities
• Key actor of emergency response in cases of major cyber security events, aligning the operational team activities and involving respective stakeholders.
• Assists in performing continuous information security assessments on IT systems, infrastructure and applications.
• Supports the deployment and management of security infrastructure solutions such as Firewall, Antivirus Protection, Spam Prevention, SIEM, Vulnerability Management and other security systems.
• Provides information security related requirements on new products and developed projects.
• To formulate, review, and recommend information security policy and information security framework.
• Works closely with cross functional teams and across group companies to gather. requirements, define solutions, implement new tools and process, and provide ongoing support to these teams.
• Drives efforts with identifying, remediating, and/or mitigating vulnerabilities in the environment, ensuring appropriate response to high risk and aged findings.
• Educates the team and staff on ongoing legal, regulatory, and compliance changes as well as industry news and trends.
• Promotes and leads the process of information security education, training, and awareness throughout BALFIN Group.
• Continuously evaluates the information received from monitoring processes and ensure proper data are captured and security rules are applied.
• To research emerging technologies in support of IT security enhancement and development efforts.
• Reports to the team lead and close communication with the IT team.
Requirements
• 2-4 years work-related experience in the information security field.
• Experience of Information Security practices and implementation projects in established organizations.
• Experience managing projects or programs to achieve Information Security objectives.
• Background in developing, testing, and revising Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and Disaster Recovery Plan Testing (DRT).
• Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), antivirus, and IDPS (Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems) concepts.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• License and Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security etc.
